"For one night and one night only, Hollywood comes to Guam for the best party of 2009 — the 'Have a Heart' benefit at the Globe!
Like any true Hollywood fundraiser, this evening promises to be one spectacular, star-clad, celebration jam-packed with entertainment that you won't see anywhere else! Along with Globe's already stellar DJ and dance party atmosphere, there will be special dance performances by a star-studded cast, live music and MC, tissue artists, and more! And all the while you're partying like the starlet you are, you'll be raising money towards an amazing cause.
100% of the proceeds for Globe's Have a Heart Benefit will go towards the ongoing recovery and rehabilitation for 28 year old cardiac arrest survivor Summer Strate.
Since no Hollywood fundraiser has ever let its guests leave empty handed, there will be plenty of prizes to be won including raffles, silent auction, and costume contest! That's right folks, come dressed to impress in your best celebrity look-a-like attire and enter to win! Just watch out because you never know what the paparazzi may catch you doing!
So have a heart, come on down to the Globe on January 18th, and party like your on the Sunset Strip having the time of your life, while you help the life of another. The Have a Heart Benefit at the Globe, January 28th, doors open at 9, showtime at 10. Tickets are a $20 donation to the cause, VIP, and presale tickets available. About Summer
Summer Strate was admitted to Mercy Hospital on August 26, 2008 after going into cardiac arrest at her home.
Her husband Dan had just came home from work and Summer's day care kids had just went home, Summer told Dan she did not feel well and asked him to drive to the local store for a gatorade. Some time during the 10 to 15 minutes he was gone she collapsed, when Dan returned her son Devin was in the garage looking for Dan and informed Dan of Summer's situation.
Dan found Summer in the family room blue and not breathing, both him and Devin called 911 at the same time and while Dan was receiving instructions for CPR Devin was telling the operator what was happening. Dan continued CPR until the paramedics arrived and if not for both these brave boys efforts Summer would not be with us now.
Thank god for Dan, Devin and all the police, and medical personnal that were Summer's life line and have given her the chance for life she now has.
